An attempt at a quick post

Ok, so I just saw it again. I'm sitting in La Jolla,
CA, and I saw it on TV. The History Channel to be
exact. It's not the first time, so I've probably seen
it on other channels too, but I can't be sure which
ones...
Its a commercial promoting some kind of environmental group. But the title, and this is my point really, is GreenNYC. Yes. New York City. The commercial opens with this little cartoon bird. And then the narrator says, hey, you know what you can do to help keep NYC green? Yes you... And while that's cute. The idea is that I can do something. They know I'm likely apathetic. They think they need to tell me that I can indeed make a difference.
But I'm in California. Exactly how do I help keep NYC green? I don't live there. I wonder what the carbon footprint is of a commercial that runs unnecessarily. I wonder how much money they've waisted by running their PSA on the OPPOSITE COAST. Srsly....
