Trans Lucy 2

Trans Lucy 2, the not really
anticipated sequel to the lack-luster Trans
Lucy, invokes from within me but one question:
Trans Lucy 1 was really that
successful? In truth, I'm glad it was.
The application has a bazaar name, but somewhat catchy, really... I had downloaded the original a while back as a last-resort back-up for Apple's Inspired DVD player app, the aptly named: DVD Player. While I had never experienced any problems with DVD Player, I still feel its just good practice to both have a contingency plan, and of corse to check out the grass on the other side.
So when I stuck in a Stargate disk a few days ago and some screwy thing popped up citing a initialization error within DVD player, I quickly turned to Trans Lucy. Now, I had Trans Lucy on a demo license, much as I have Trans Lucy 2 on a demo license. But back in the days of version 1, their demo did some baaad things... Like stopping in the middle of the episode of stargate you're watching and demanding that you send money to strangers. Thinking to myself, "Well now, that's certainly not how you make friends... three demerits for you!!! and... you know what... I don't need you! yeah, that's right, take a hike! and take that dumb icon of yours with you!" (the original icon was indeed quite dumb) When suddenly at the bottom of my screen I see the words "Trans Lucy 2". (ala nullriver's NewsTicker) Figuring it to be serendipity, I followed the link leading to one of my favorite sites MacUpdate.com. Upon downloading I noticed a considerably sexier icon (as seen above) and cool new features like, custom sizing and a controller built into the window! And as always the handy transparency feature making it easy to multi-task, I think it's worth a try if not a buy!
