Scifi Network offers Immortality to Contestants

The Scifi Network has launched a new series hosted by
Stan Lee, entitled: Who Wants to be a Super
Hero? Though the title may seem a bit cliché
(took me a while to figure out how to type that E
there...) It's really a well done show, and quite
entertaining to watch. It's available on iTunes and
currently the pilot episode is free.
They started out with a mere 12 would-be super heros, and by the end of the first episode they knocked that number down to 9. First off, the team was introduced, in a mansion that would have otherwise appeared to be the home of this adventure. It was not. After beginning to dance, the group was startled by the face of Stan Lee appearing on the nearby television screen. Stan was not pleased with what he saw. He informed them that they were not taking things seriously and that they should be. He then told them the mansion they were in was not were they would be staying, but rather they were to be relocated to their "lair". After a short ride in a Hummer-Limo contraption, the group arrived in what looked to be a bad part of town. Behind some dumpsters and a chain link fence they found a door, which one of them opened. Behind that door was none other than Stan Lee!
Well, on a television again. Stan then informed them that he had placed a spy among them (gasp!) and the man I had come to know as the "garbage dude" leapt in front of the group and revealed his true identity, saying, "Mwahaha! Rotriart (which was his name) is traitor spelled backwards!" The group was stunned. Particularly the Iron Enforcer, who always looks a wee flabbergasted no matter what's happening. Rotriat then ripped part of his costume off, revealing a television screen on his stomach! (what's with these guys and televisions?) Which proceeded to play film he had recorded during private conversations with a few of the Super Heros. Apparently, the video (shot in black and white for drama) was incriminating in some sense, though it seemed like just small talk to me.
Sadly, Levity, who had planed on being the world's first gay Super Hero, (he actually wouldn't have been) was found to be the worst of the top three. He had been caught saying that he worked making custom action figures, and commenting that he could make a lot of monney making action figures of himself if all went well. Stan was appauled by Levity's selfishness, and booted him right then and there.
The rest of the group entered the lair to find an impressive set-up. They were then instructed to go to the dining room to meet with Stan Lee himself! (gasp!) but found only another televison. (so sad) After having an awkward meal wilst talking to the old man on the screen, they were told to rest-up for tomarrow they would face their first challenge.
The first challenge was to find somwhere to change into costume, do so without anyone noticing, and then run for a painted archway. What they were not told was that there would be a crying girl on the way that they were expected to help. All the men save the former exotic dancer passed by the little girl. Most of the women stoped to help her, save Monkey Women and Creature, who actually cracked her whip just after passing her, nearly hitting her as it seemed to me.
Later that night, the guys were in trouble, Nitro-G, and Iron Enforcer were called up along with ol' Monkey Women. Though Monkey Women and Iron Enforcer both passed by the little girl, (Monley Women actually seemed to look the girl in the eye) Nitro-G was found to be the worst, as he ran by the girl at the speed of light (or something like that) and changed out in the open where everyone could see, revealing his secret identity entirely. Nitro-G was kicked off the show, and the episode ended with some kind of teaser for the next I'm sure.
All I can say is that I was plensently surprised with the show, and intend to watch the next episode, whether that be on TV or on my iPod. Cheers!
